Copycat Protein Cinnabon Delights 🤤
Ingredients
Dough
2 cup all purpose flour or gluten free flour
1 ½ cup Greek yogurt
1 ½ tsp baking powder
½ tsp sea salt
Filling
8 oz light cream cheese, at room temperature
1 scoop vanilla whey protein powder
Coating
4 tbsp sugar or sugar alternative
1 tsp cinnamon
Oil spray
Directions:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, Greek yogurt, baking powder, and salt. Knead by hand until the dough comes together in a single mass. Lightly dust a surface with flour, and roll the dough into a long rope. Cut into 16 even squares.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the cream cheese and protein powder until the whey is dissolved.
Press the dough into roughly palm-sized disks, and spoon about 1 teaspoon of the cream cheese mixture into the center of the disk. Fold the edges of the disk over the cream cheese mixture, and press to seal the cream cheese completely. Repeat with the remaining dough balls and filling.
In a small mixing bowl, combine the sugar and cinnamon. Roll the dough balls in the cinnamon sugar, and place them evenly in the air fryer. Lightly spray them with oil, and air fry them at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 8 minutes. Enjoy!
